Doctoral student honored for outstanding teaching
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Nick DeRobertis was honored with the College’s Fall 2016 Ph.D. Teaching Award.
The award is presented by the Center for Teaching, Learning & Assessment and selected by the Warrington Teaching Committee, recognizing outstanding graduate student teaching and instructional innovation.
DeRobertis taught Debt and Money Markets (FIN4243) during the fall semester, covering debt analysis and debt portfolio management. With everything in the class based on that goal, he emphasized basic financial and analytic concepts without cluttering the class with unnecessary information.
DeRobertis is a doctoral student pursuing a Ph.D. in Finance. His research interests include behavioral finance, asset pricing and corporate finance, and he has received teaching evaluation scores of 4.8 out of 5.0.
