LePine awarded UF Research Foundation Professorship award
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Darden Restaurants Diversity Management Professor Dr. Jeffery LePine is the Warrington College of Business Administration’s most recent recipient of a UF Research Foundation Professorship award.
The Professorship awards are three-year professorships created by UF Research to recognize faculty that has established a distinguished record of research, and grant a scholarship that is expected to lead to continuing distinction in their field.
“It’s quite flattering to be recognized for research I’ve done with my colleagues and students over the past few years on topics such as teams, occupational stress, and employee engagement,” Dr. LePine said. “And the support from the award will help me to move this research in exciting new directions.”
The term of LePine’s professorship stretches from 2010-2012. He will receive an annual salary supplement of $5,000 for the next three years, including a one-time $3,000 allocation to support the research program.
LePine has published numerous articles in major journals, and currently serves as the Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Review and resides on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Journal. Among the awards LePine has received are the Distinguished Early Career Contributions Award from the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, and the Larry L. Cummings Award for mid‐career contributions from the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management.
