Warrington seniors among those honored at School of Business Awards

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Seniors Ashley Boccuzzi and Jerri-Ann Berry were inducted into the Warrington College of Business Administration Hall of Fame during the School of Business Awards held April 12 at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center.

Michael Pascual was also named WCBA Freshman of the Year.

Boccuzzi, a senior Finance major with minors in Spanish and Religion, served as Council Chair of the Warrington Welcome Peer Leader Advisory Committee, a Warrington Welcome Peer Leader and on the First Year Florida Peer Leader Task Force. She also served as a Senior Teaching Assistant for the Warrington Finance Scholar Program, a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, was named an Anderson Scholar of Highest Distinction, was a member of Class V of the Florida Leadership Academy and is currently a member of the FLA Advisory Board.

Berry, a senior Management major with a minor in geography, was a member of Class V of FLA, served as a mentor to Class VI students and serves on the FLA Advisory Board on its Public Relations Committee. She also participated in the University Scholars Program, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and was named an Anderson Scholar of Highest Distinction.
Berry served as a Warrington Welcome Peer Leader, a mentor in the Business Undergraduate Mentorship Program and on the Warrington Diplomats.

Michael Canencia and Kyle Futch were awarded the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship, which is given to the student with the highest cumulative academic average in business administration or economics.

Also honored were Undergraduate Faculty Members of the Year voted on by the student body. The winners were: Richard Lutz and Bill Rossi (Electronic Platform), Michelle Phillips (Economics), Charles McDonald (Fisher School of Accounting), Bart Weitz (Marketing), Marie Halvorsen-Ganepola (Management), Craig Tapley (Finance), Stephanie Webster (Management Communication) and Yan Qin (Information Systems and Operations Management).
