Jason Altmire (DBA ’20) | November 2020

Altmire (DBA 2020) was named the President and CEO of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU), a for-profit college group. He will officially join CECU on December 1, 2020. 

Altmire is a former Democratic member of Congress from Pennsylvania. He served on the Higher Education Subcommittee during all three of his terms as a member of Congress and has served as a trustee or member of advisory boards at several colleges and universities. Altmire was appointed to serve on the House-Senate Conference Committee that negotiated the final details of the 2008 Higher Education Act — the last time the Act was reauthorized by Congress. He also served on the Conference Committee for the 2007 College Cost Reduction Act, which expanded student access to financial aid.
