Jim Vanderbleek

Vanderbleek (BSBA 1981) is President of Valor Fitness, a fitness equipment company based in Seminole, Florida. In addition to providing fitness equipment for fitness professionals, studios, and personal and commercial gyms, his company has donated fitness equipment to the Tampa SWAT team, the Denham Springs Lady’s Softball team after they lost their equipment in a school flood, and the UF Delta Tau Delta fraternity three times over the past 12 years. Vanderbleek also donates Valor Fitness facility space to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and Pinellas Park Police Department for K9 training, where both regularly train in simulated situations that allow the dog and handler to work as a team.

Additionally, Vanderbleek is the creator of the Fallen Floridian Tribute, a traveling memorial of about 400 crosses, made for every Florida soldier who died while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2001-2015. Vanderbleek made the crosses in his garage, which have been displayed across the state including in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Lakeland, Oviedo, Riverview and Jacksonville.
