Haven (BSAc 2000, MAcc 2000) recently began as the new Vice President for the Business and Financial Services Division at the University of West Georgia.
Haven comes to the University of West Georgia from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, where he led the Finance and Administration division, which included Purchasing, Budget, Controller, Human Resources, Housing, University Centers, Police, Risk Management, Travel, Auxiliaries, Pablo Performing Arts Center, Facilities, and the Children’s Academy.
Previously he was the Executive Director of the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he oversaw Accounting, Budget, Business operations for the teaching hospitals, Human Resources, Facilities, Security, Purchasing, and not only led Risk Management, but became a national leader in disaster response and technical rescue.
Prior to coming to academics, he worked for SPX – Air Treatment division, Georgia Pacific – Wood Procurement Division, and served for eight years in the United States Air Force as a Radiology Technologist and as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
