Dr. Daneshmand (MBA 2016) was promoted to Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer at Lee Health.
In this role, Dr. Daneshmand will be responsible for quality and safety across Lee Health, including national hospital grading, hospital accreditations, conformance risk assessments and process improvement throughout the health system. He will also oversee infection prevention and continue leading Lee Health’s safety program.
Before this promotion, Dr. Daneshmand served as VP for quality and safety for the health system, where he provided leadership to improve quality and safety across Lee Health in collaboration with physicians and staff. In the past year, Lee Health’s adult, acute care hospitals have earned two straight “A” report cards from the Leapfrog Group, and have consistently increased their Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services star ratings.
