Michael Nunziata

Nunziata (BSBA 2005) is Principal at 13th Floor Homes. He was named to the 2019 South Florida Business Journal 40 Under 40 list as an “influential leader from Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties who exhibited outstanding success in business and contributions to their communities.”

As a Principal of 13th Floor Investments, Nunziata serves as Division President of 13th Floor Homes, the company’s wholly-owned homebuilding subsidiary, where he is responsible for various aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and strategy. Nunziata has nearly 15 years of direct experience in the real estate investment industry.

Under Nunziata’s leadership, 13th Floor Homes has grown to become one of South Florida’s top ten largest homebuilding companies. This success is largely attributed to his approach with parcel assemblage and infill development, enabling the company to deliver top quality new construction homes. One of his biggest achievements, includes the completion of Central Parc, a 253-home community in Tamarac, FL that sold out within two years of its official launch. In response to this high demand, 13th Floor Homes is now developing two neighboring single-family communities, which will together deliver approximately 500 homes to middle-market and first-time buyers.

Prior to joining 13th Floor in 2009, Nunziata worked with Lane Capital Partners and its predecessor opportunity fund, Rossrock. Nunziata started his career with SunTrust Bank, as a portfolio manager in the commercial real estate finance group, where he worked on the origination and analysis of lending facilities.  Nunziata holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in entrepreneurship from the University of Florida and a master’s of science degree in real estate from Columbia University.
