Eardley (BSBA 1991) was named the Chief Information Officer of University Hospitals (UH) in Cleveland, Ohio. In his role, he will lead initiatives to optimize information technology performance and will work closely with administrative and clinical leaders to implement the health system’s strategies. Eardley, who has 24 years of health care information technology experience, previously worked at UH, serving as vice president and associate chief information offer from 2007 to 2011. Most recently, Eardley had served as senior vice president, chief information officer and chief information security officer at Houston Methodist Hospitals in Texas, where he helped implement a system-wide electronic health record and oversaw other IT-enabled accomplishments.
