The Princeton Review: UF MBA Internet Program No. 6 in the world

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Internet Program at UF MBA at the Hough Graduate School of Business ranked sixth in The Princeton Review’s inaugural “Top Online MBA Programs 2015.”

UF MBA’s Internet Program was fifth among U.S. public business schools, and was the only online MBA program from the state of Florida to appear in the rankings.

UF MBA fared favorably in student and faculty quality. The program’s acceptance rate (65 percent) was one of the most competitive among the top 25, as well as students’ undergraduate GPA (3.24), and Verbal and Quantitative GRE scores (154 Verbal, 152 Quantitative). Also, 94 percent of faculty that teach UF MBA courses have terminal degrees, one of the highest marks in these rankings.

“We’re pleased our Internet MBA Program was recognized by The Princeton Review,” said Dr. S. Selcuk Erenguc, Senior Associate Dean and Director of the Hough Graduate School of Business. “Our faculty and program staff are dedicated to providing a rich and innovative online learning experience for elite business professionals around the world.”

The Princeton Review chose the schools based on its surveys in 2014 of 80 business schools offering online MBAs (at which 75% or more of their program was online), plus surveys of nearly 2,000 students enrolled in the programs. Data from surveys of graduates of the online MBA programs was also used.

The survey for school administrators, which evaluated more than 30 fields, covers admissions selectivity, graduation and retention rates, faculty training and credentials, technological infrastructure, student indebtedness, and career outcomes among other items. The survey for students, which also evaluates more than 30 unique fields, allows students to rate their faculty, their fellow students, career preparation, academics, the technology platform, and overall satisfaction with their programs.

UF MBA was one of the first programs to offer a fully-accredited online degree, and has been regarded as one of the world’s best in top-tier publications. In March, the Financial Times ranked UF MBA’s Internet Program, No. 3 in the world and No. 1 in the U.S. U.S. News & World Report ranked UF MBA’s Internet Program No. 4 in the nation in its “2015 Best Online MBA Programs” rankings in January.
