Ray selected as a mentor for national ethics conference

Gainesville, Fla. – Dr. Brian Ray, associate dean and director of the School of Business, was recently selected to serve as a mentor at the 2009 National Conference on Ethics in America (NCEA). The NCEA, an annual event hosted by the United States Military Academy, serves to promote awareness of ethical issues. Each year, more than 150 undergraduates from 60 academic institutions work with mentors from a variety of backgrounds to discuss moral and ethical challenges.

Presented through the generosity of the West Point Class of 1970, this year marks the 24th anniversary of the conference. The intent of this year’s conference is threefold: 1) to develop a national awareness of ethical behavior in the undergraduate community; 2) to improve collegiate codes of ethics and honor systems across the nation by drawing on the experiences and value systems of students from diverse backgrounds; and 3) to provide undergraduates with the opportunity to discuss issues of character and integrity with proven leaders from a varieties of fields.
