Double Duty: Two Management profs tapped for editorial spots

Gainesville, Fla. – Jason Colquitt and Jeffery LePine, both full professors in Warrington’s Department of Management, were recently selected as associate editors to two of the leading journals in management research. In the field of management, associate editors have full decision-making authority over manuscripts, based on input from editorial review board members.

Colquitt was selected as an associate editor of Academy of Management Journal. LePine, Darden Diversity Professor, as an associate editor of Academy of Management Review. Academy of Management Journal (which publishes empirical articles) and Academy of Management Review (which publishes theoretical or conceptual articles), are typically rated as two of the top eight journals in the field of management. Selection of Colquitt and LePine by each journal is clear indication of Warrington’s excellence in theoretical as well as practical research.

Warrington’s OB/HR group is widely recognized as one of the world’s strongest, with half as past winners of the Distinguished Early Career Contributions Award granted by the Society of Industrial & Organizational Psychologists: Colquitt in 2005, LePine, 2004 and Matherly-McKethan Eminent Scholar Tim Judge in 1995.
