Warrington undergraduate programs place 17th among publics by U.S. News

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The undergraduate business program at the Warrington College of Business Administration ranked 17th among all U.S. public business schools in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2012 issue.

Warrington was ranked 28th overall and placed prominently in seven specialty categories. Warrington ranked no lower than 13th in any of the categories among public business programs and included four top-10 finishes and two top-five finishes. Warrington’s top-five finishes were in Real Estate (fourth) and Quantitative Analysis (fifth), and its other top-10 finishes were in Finance (seventh) and Marketing (eighth). The College’s impressive specialty rankings are a direct reflection on the quality of Warrington’s faculty.

“It is gratifying that Warrington’s undergraduate business and accounting programs continue to rank among the nation’s best,” said Dr. Brian Ray, Associate Dean and Director of the School of Business. “The U.S. News rankings reflect the sentiment of deans across the country. Many business leaders have taken notice of the outstanding professional development programs and curricular enhancements that have been recently implemented. New academic initiatives in global business, entrepreneurship, leadership, ethics and communication skills are making a significant difference in the caliber of our graduates. In addition, the new requirement that each of our undergraduate business students complete an internship or study abroad will further strengthen the national reputation of our undergraduate program.”
