Dan (BSBA 2009, MBC 2011, MSRE 2012) was recently promoted to Vice President at Bosshardt Commercial & Land, a division of Bosshardt Realty Services. Dan is a dedicated Realtor who specializes in commercial and land transactions including sales and leasing. He also recently graduated from the 40th Class of Leadership Gainesville through the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce.

Leroy (Lee) Wertheim (BSBA ’68) | August 2014

Lee (BSBA 1968), who opened his CPA practice in Sevierville, Tennessee in 1990, merged his practice with Brown, Brown and Associates becoming the firm’s fifth office. The office is now called Wertheim, Brown & Associates in Sevierville.

Debora (BSBA 1976) is an Accountant at the Stephen O’Connell Center. She received her Marketing degree from Warrington, an accounting degree from Florida Atlantic University and has been back in Gainesville since 1987 where she says, “What a great place to live and be a Gator!!!!!”

David (BSBA 1978), City National Bank’s new Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager, has joined CNB’s new Daytona Beach-area office to cater to the auto racing industry. David worked with SunTrust Bank in Daytona Beach since 1978, and before that worked at South Carolina National Bank for more than a decade.

Tom Surrency (BSBA ’60) | July 2014

Tom (BSBA 1960) spent 36 years working in international business with Celanese Corporation. Upon his retirement in 1997, he set up a consulting and trading operation establishing sourcing and contacts between U.S. firms and Asia. Tom’s granddaughter graduated from UF in 2012, and he said he “would not trade my four years at UF for anything. Go Gators!”

Bethann Johnston (BSBA ’83) | July 2014

Bethann (BSBA 1983) was promoted to Managing Director and Product Executive in the Global Transaction Services division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Her responsibilities include designing and delivering treasury management services for specialized industries. Bethann lives in Atlanta with her husband, Daniel Berger, and their children, Jonathan and Elaine.

Anthony (BSBA 1991, MS-ISOM 2008) is celebrating 20 years of IT experience in catalog/retail, manufacturing and higher education. He was recently promoted to Manager, Systems and Programming for the Enrollment Management division at the University of New Mexico. He previously served as an IT Applications Systems Specialist for the Data Warehouse Team at UNM. Go Gators!

Kyle (BSBA 2004) is the new MBA Program Director and Assistant Professor of Business Law and Management at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee. Additionally, Kyle is the owner and CEO of PLAYRITE, LLC, the premier sports and recreation construction company in Tennessee.

Krista (BSBA 2010) recently joined Alchemy Works, a new retail concept store located in the Arts District of Los Angeles, as its Retail Operations Director for this flagship location. She had previously worked in New York City for Kate Spade, Billy Reid and John Varvatos in various operations management roles.
