US News ranks Hough online programs fourth in the nation
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The online programs at the Hough Graduate School of Business ranked No. 4 in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report’s “2013 Best Online Education Programs” rankings released Tuesday.
“This ranking is a testament to our talented faculty, incredible students, dedicated technology team and commitment to utilizing the latest in technology that makes the Hough Graduate School of Business a world leader in distance education,” said Dr. S. Selcuk Erenguc, Senior Associate Dean and Director of the Hough Graduate School of Business. “This recognition from US News acknowledges that the Hough Graduate School of Business provides an innovative and seamless distance education environment for our students.”
The Hough Graduate School of Business ranked fourth among the 213 regionally-accredited institutions that met U.S. News & World Report’s criteria. Scores were based on five weighted categories: Student Engagement (28 percent), Admissions Selectivity (25%), Peer Reputation (25%), Faculty Credentials and Training (11%) and Students Services and Technology (11%). Among those specialty categories, the Hough Graduate School of Business ranked second in Admissions Selectivity and 15th in Student Services & Technology.
The Hough Graduate School of Business has been at the forefront of online graduate education, and was one of the first schools to have an accredited online MBA program. Hough’s Internet MBA program was one of only two programs in the world to earn the top rating of “excellent” by The Economist in its “Which MBA?” Distance-Learning Special 2010 publication.
UF MBA at the Hough Graduate School of Business offers a 1-Year Internet and 2-Year Internet option. The 1-Year option is a 16-month accelerated program for business degree majors who graduated within the last seven years. The 2-Year option is a 27-month program open to any undergraduate degree major.
