Warrington graduates honored with UF Outstanding Young Alumni Awards
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Warrington College of Business Administration graduates Jeremy Delaplane, Diana Kelly and Allison McCarthy were recipients of the University of Florida’s Outstanding Young Alumni Awards on Saturday at Emerson Alumni Hall.
The Outstanding Young Alumni Award, established by UF’s Alumni Association, recognizes alumni ages 35 or younger who have distinguished themselves in their profession and community.
Jeremy Delaplane, Hough Graduate School of Business
Jeremy Delaplane (MAIB ’02) earned a Master of Arts in International Business from the Hough Graduate School of Business in 2002. Jeremy is the Director of Client Planning and Strategy at Viacom, one of the world’s leading global entertainment content companies. Jeremy, who also earned a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from UF in 2000, oversees Viacom’s West Coast digital media partnerships across all Music & Entertainment brands including MTV, VH1 and Comedy Central among many others. He has spoken on multiple occasions at the College of Business, and has helped several graduates obtain interviews and jobs in the digital media space.
Diana Kelly, Heavener School of Business
Diana Kelly (BABA ’08) earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Urban and Regional Planning from the Heavener School of Business in 2008. Diana, a Sarasota native, has always had a proclivity for a sleek look and a fashion forward outfit complemented with the perfect shoe. Her business savvy and passion for shoes led her to form her own company, Diana E. Kelly, Inc., which creates footwear that blends refinement with practical comfort. Diana has traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe discovering the latest fashion trends, and she implements those styles in her elegant designs.
Allison McCarthy, Fisher School of Accounting
Allison McCarthy (BSAc ’98, MAcc ’98) earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Fisher School of Accounting in 1998, and holds a Juris Doctorate from Duke University. She is a Partner at Holland & Knight, one of the 30 largest law firms in the country. Based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, Allison practices in the areas of commercial real estate and commercial lending. She has developed a specialized practice in representing clients in connection with the acquisition, ground lease, financing, development, construction, operation, leasing, and disposition of hotels and resorts and mixed-use projects with a hospitality component.
