Carballa (MBA 2007) has been appointed the next county administrator for Pasco County. Carballa has been part of Pasco County government’s senior leadership team since 2014, most recently as assistant county administrator for the public infrastructure branch.

Carballa will serve as interim county administrator beginning July 30, while he is in the process of negotiating an agreement with the commission to begin serving as county administration beginning Oct. 1.

Carballa served as a captain in the United States Air Force for five years before joining the private sector, providing leadership in two Tampa Bay area engineering firms.

Carballa, his wife and two children have lived in Pasco County for nearly 20 years.
