 Q: Tell us about yourself.

Bifano: I’m Chiara, an international student from Italy, graduating this December from the Master of International Business (MIB) program. I’ve always had a passion for exploring different cultures, which began when I spent a year in the U.S. as a high school exchange student. This experience sparked my love for international environments and shaped my adaptability and curiosity. I enjoy pursuing opportunities that encourage both personal and professional growth and I thrive on making meaningful connections with people from all over the world.

Q: What was your undergraduate major, and why did you decide to pursue your MIB?

Bifano: I completed my undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Management in Milan, where I developed strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The MIB program offers a unique international perspective and emphasizes practical, hands-on learning experiences. The program aligns with my goal of becoming an international professional capable of navigating complex global markets and driving meaningful impact.

Q: What is your favorite thing about the MIB program?

Bifano: The best thing about the MIB program is its diversity—in both the student body and the course offerings. Collaborating with classmates from different cultural and professional backgrounds has broadened my understanding of international business. Additionally, the program’s experiential learning opportunities, like the GIE, have equipped me with practical skills that I’ll carry forward in my career.

Q: How was your Global Immersion Experience (GIE)?

Bifano: My GIE trip to Peru was an unforgettable experience. Collaborating on a consulting project for SISSAI, a jewelry company, allowed me to apply classroom concepts in a real-world setting while gaining valuable insights into Peru’s economy and entrepreneurial ecosystem. This immersive journey deepened my appreciation for Latin American cultures and business practices while also strengthening my connections with peers and local professionals. The relationships I built, and the collaborative spirit of the experience made it truly impactful.

Q: What are your future goals and plans?

Bifano:My immediate goal is to start a career in international business, focusing on those roles that blend strategy, innovation, and relationship management. Long-term, I aspire to contribute to creating inclusive and efficient global business environments, ideally in roles that allow me to connect with diverse teams and cultures. I’m open to exploring opportunities in Europe, Latin America, or Asia, as I enjoy immersing myself in different markets.
