Graduate Exchange Student Spotlight: Francesco Nanni
Francesco Nanni is an international exchange student at the University of Florida. Visiting all the way from Italy, Nanni shares why he chose to travel to the United States to experience graduate business programs in the United States.
Q: Tell us about yourself. Where are you from?
I’m a 23-year-old Italian exchange student from Rimini, a small city near the sea in the center of Italy.
I studied management at Bocconi University in Milan and completed my bachelor’s degree in management and marketing in 2021. My main passions are food, sports – especially football – and movies.
Q: Why did you choose to come to the University of Florida?
I chose the University of Florida because it’s a fantastic school with great academics, a wonderful campus and a vibrant student life. I also love college football and, with the Gators team, I’m sure I’m in the right place.
Q: What do you miss the most from your home country?
At the moment, the thing that I am missing the most from Italy is the food. I love US food, but I really miss some Italian flavors.
Q: One cool fact about you!
One cool thing about me is that my twin brother got a pair of Gator shorts in a mall four years ago – and now I study at this university!
