Graduate Exchange Student Spotlight: Nora Lombnaes

Nora Lombnaes is an international exchange student from Norway, enjoying a study abroad semester at the University of Florida while earning a master’s degree in finance. She talks about her life in Norway and why she decided to experience graduate business programs in the United States.

Q: Tell us about your background and your country.

Lombnaes: “I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in finance from BI Norwegian Business School.

In Norway, we love winter sports – our country has won the most winter-Olympic medals.”

Q: Why did you choose to come to the University of Florida?

Lombnaes: “Since winters in Norway are really cold, I wanted to go to a place that has tropical weather. I also read some reports from previous BI students that did an exchange semester at UF and they recommended coming here.”

Q: What are you missing the most from your home country right now?

Lombnaes: “I’m missing my dog.”

Q: One cool thing about you!

Lombnaes: “I’m a quadruplet.”
