MSM Student Spotlight: Chloe Grimme

Chloe Grimme (BA ’22, MSM ’24) graduates this summer from the Master of Science in Management (MSM) Online program at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. Currently employed at Universal Orlando, she looks forward to being involved with the launch of their newest theme park.

Q: Tell us about yourself. What is your background?

Grimme: “My name is Chloe Grimme and I am a graduate student in the MSM program at UF, currently in my last semester. I work as an associate revenue management analyst at Universal Orlando. I’m a double gator, as I also completed my bachelor’s degree in economics at UF.”

Q: Why did you join the MSM Online program?

Grimme: “I joined the MSM Online program to continue my education in business while progressing in my career. The biggest advantages of the program are definitely its flexibility and the breadth of coursework offered. The flexibility has allowed me to thrive in my full-time job while completing the graduate program. Regarding coursework, the variety of topics introduced is valuable for students aiming to excel in business, even if they are unsure of which specific sector they are interested in.”

Q: What do you like best about the MSM Online program?

Grimme: “What I enjoy the most about the MSM Online program is that, along with the useful knowledge I’ve gained, both the courses and staff encourage students to make lasting connections. Although it’s an online program, I have had no difficulties networking and forming great friendships.”

Q: What are your professional career plans after graduation?

Grimme: “I plan to continue my career at Universal Orlando in revenue management. I am excited to utilize the foundational skills I’ve learned to assist the company in opening the new theme park, Epic Universal, in 2025.”

Q: Any advice you’d offer to incoming MSM Online students?

Grimme: “Some advice I can offer to incoming students is to take advantage of the variety of coursework offered throughout the program. You might discover an interest in a topic you hadn’t previously considered! Also, make connections, as the program brings together students from diverse backgrounds with different perspectives that you can learn and grow from.”

Q: What do you wish you’d known before you started the MSM Online program? 

Grimme: “Before starting the program, I wish I knew the importance of networking early. Many of the connections you make at the beginning of the program can influence who you work with throughout each course, so it’s crucial to build your network as early as possible.”

Q: Tell us a cool fact about yourself.

Grimme: “I love the ocean and its wildlife! I completed a minor in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at UF, and I have been scuba diving with hammerhead sharks.”
