MSM Student Spotlight: Zoe Larson

Zoe Larson is graduating with an online Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree this summer. She shares how the online combination program has enabled her to pursue a career in musical theatre.

Q: What is your background?

Larson: “I grew up in Coral Springs, Florida, and have been a Gator fan all my life. Senior year of high school, I decided to follow in my mother’s footsteps and attend the great University of Florida. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UF Honors with a degree in musical theatre.”

Q: Why did you join the online MSM combination program?

Larson: “As an aspiring Broadway actress, half of my path to Broadway will include managing my own career. I knew that I not only needed top notch musical theatre training, but also an extensive knowledge of business in order to succeed. Luckily, at UF, I received both, with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre combined with the MSM.”

Q: What did you like about the online MSM combination program?

Larson: “I have loved the online MSM program! I began the MSM combined program my sophomore year of undergrad and made incredible progress towards my degree. In my last semesters as a grad student, I have been able to attend Broadway auditions and perform across the country, all thanks to the flexibility of the online MSM combination program.”

Q: What are you professional career plans after graduation?

Larson: “I will continue to perform across the nation while utilizing my extensive business knowledge to pave my personal path towards Broadway.”

Q: Any advice for incoming students?

Larson: “Do your best to get the most out of the MSM resources! This is such an incredible program with a variety of opportunities to help you grow as a student and individual. I am so grateful for the resources I have found in the Warrington College of Business, and I know they will set me up for success.”

Q: Tell us a cool fact about yourself.

Larson: “I was Miss University of Florida 2022!”
