Thanks, Business Gators!

From Jon Cannon, Executive Director of Development

Jon Cannon

We are blown away by the response from the Warrington College of Business community to the Gator Nation Giving Day in February. Thank you, Business Gators! It was a historic day for the university with 16,993 donations made by alumni, students and friends in 47 states and 20 countries, totaling more than $23.5 million.

Warrington was well represented with 658 gifts, the third highest number of any initiative on campus. We are humbled to see this level of participation from our passionate alumni base, which raised $484,999. Your generosity inspires us to work even harder to move the College forward.

Private support is an important way for alumni to ensure their alma mater remains competitive among leading institutions. It elevates the quality of a Warrington degree, no matter when it was received.

The College’s priority fund saw the most activity. The Warrington Excellence Fund, which supports the experience outside of the classroom for every business student, benefitted from your strong participation numbers. The fund directly supports study abroad, experiential learning opportunities, career services, and leadership and development programs.

As support grows, Warrington also moves up in business rankings around the world. In recent U.S. News & World Report rankings, the UF MBA Full-Time program earned its highest-ever ranking at No. 9 among publics, and the Online MBA program consistently ranks among the best in the world. With five master’s programs in the top five publics and the Heavener School of Business ranked in the top 15 publics, Warrington has never had this level of success.

Your generous gifts are the reason that is possible. We are grateful for your support and thank you for participating in the Gator Nation Giving Day.

Go Gators!
