Dear Business Gators,

We are amazed by the response from the Warrington College of Business community to Gator Nation Giving Day on February 18. Thank you, Business Gators! It was a historic day for the University of Florida with 22,198 donations made by alumni, students and friends in 49 states and 21 countries, totaling more than $25.3 million.

It’s no surprise that Warrington was well represented with 498 gifts, the fifth most of any initiative on campus. We are humbled to see this level of participation from our passionate alumni base, which raised $293,037. Your generosity inspires us to work even harder to move the College forward.

I’d like to offer a special thanks to our challengers, Dr. Irv Gleim and the Throne Family for their support. Thanks to our strong alumni participation, we were able to “unlock” an additional $55,000 from their matching challenges.

Alumni giving is important to ensure your alma mater continues to be one of the best business schools in the country. It elevates the quality of a Warrington degree, no matter what year you graduated.

The Warrington Excellence Fund, which supports the experience both in and out of the classroom for every business student, benefitted from your strong participation numbers.

As support grows, Warrington also moves up in business rankings around the world. With the undergraduate Heavener School of Business ranked among the top 15, five master’s programs in the top five and the UF MBA Full-Time program ranked in the top 10 programs, UF Warrington is recognized as one of the best public business schools.

Your generous gifts are the reason that is possible. We are grateful for your support and thank you for participating in Gator Nation Giving Day.

Go Gators!
