Title industry leader named 2023 Bergstrom Center Alumna of the Year
UF Warrington is proud to announce Mary Pat Dunleavy (BA ’87) as the 2023 Bergstrom Center Alumna of the Year. Dunleavy is currently SVP, Agency Division Manager of the statewide operations for Fidelity National Financial representing the title underwriters: Commonwealth, Chicago and Fidelity National Title. She oversees approximately 420 employees and an operation producing approximately $420 million in gross revenue. She has been in the title industry since 1987, spending the last 24 years at Fidelity.
“There are many hard working people who support the program, so I was really surprised and honored to have been recognized,” Dunleavy said of receiving the Bergstrom Center’s award recognizing impactful alumni.
Dunleavy has been a Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Orlando member since 2000, serving on the Board six terms and in 2012 was the CREW Orlando President. Since 2010, she has been a member of the UF Bergstrom Real Estate Center Advisory Board and she served on the Executive Committee of the Advisory Board from 2013-2016.
“I went to UF, so I love the university and I have a lot of respect for the Advisory Board. It has been a great conduit for meeting people in real estate and it also allows me to work with the students and see their accomplishments,” Dunleavy said. “Over the years, I have had some wonderful mentors, so I appreciate the value of leadership and mentorship. I know that having ‘trusted resources’ allows students the freedom to reach out and learn from advisory board members that have navigated some of the same career challenges.”
After meeting Dunleavy through CREW, Wanda Riley of Cushman & Wakefield quickly added Dunleavy as a friend and mentor to her circle. “She gives freely of her time to support her team, young professionals, and women in business,” said Riley. “She is smart, professional, considerate of others and genuinely cares for others’ well being and happiness.”
Dunleavy has been married 33 years, has two sons, ages 18 and 24 and is a huge dog lover. Her husband strongly prefers that she does not visit animal shelters or pet stores.
Dunleavy joins 17 other individuals that have been named Alumnus of the Year. The Bergstrom Center’s Alumnus of the Year award is given to a UF graduate who has made an impactful and sustained contribution to real estate education at the University of Florida. All recipients are friends of the Center who have gone above and beyond to grow the presence of UF’s Real Estate program.
