Hough Graduate School of Business wins Montreal case competition
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four students from the Hough Graduate School of Business won the HEC Montreal International Graduate Competition on May 1 in Montreal.
Andrew Karay, Natalie Martinez and Melissa Morlan—all students in the Master of International Business (MIB) program—and Ashley Glantz, a Master of Science in Management (MSM) student, bested a field of eight international business schools representing Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Ireland and Switzerland.
Each team was given 48 hours to complete four interrelated cases, identifying key priorities, weighing benefits and addressing risks. Judges evaluated teams based on depth of analysis, soundness of the integrated solutions and the quality of the written reports and oral presentations.
HEC Montreal finished in second place and University College Cork (Ireland) took third.
