Yates (BSBA 2006) has been promoted to Partner at Silverman Schermer in South Florida.
Yates’ practice is devoted primarily to estate and gift planning and trust and estate administration, but also brings extensive corporate transactional experience to her new role. She works with business owners and management in a variety of business matters, including representing both buyers and sellers in lower and middle market transactions, and preparing operating agreements, shareholder agreements and employment agreements.
Her tax background has helped her serve clients in a variety of matters, including IRS audits, structuring corporate acquisitions and forming public charities and private foundations. She also assists fiduciary and beneficiary clients in modifying trusts and in general trust administration. In addition to being knowledgeable, she is service-orientated with clients.
Yates started her legal career at one of Florida’s largest law firms working in both the litigation and tax department.
She and her husband have two kids and reside in Palmetto Bay.
Silverman Schermer focuses its practice on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, wealth preservation and estate planning.
