Robert Knechel

Eminent Scholar named an editor of prestigious publication

Frederick E. Fisher Eminent Scholar Chair Dr. Robert Knechel was named an editor at The Accounting Review, one of the top three scholarly journals in accounting and the premier research journal of the American Accounting Association.

The American Accounting Association is the largest community of accountants in academia. Founded in 1916, it has a rich history built on leading-edge research and publications.

Dr. Knechel has published more than 50 research articles in numerous academic journals including the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Accounting Organizations and Society, Contemporary Accounting Research, Decisions Sciences Journal, Accounting Horizons and Issues in Accounting Education.

Dr. Knechel received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Delaware in 1977 and his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina in 1981.
