MSM Student Spotlight: Brooke Bierman

Brooke Bierman is pursuing an undergraduate degree in economics. After graduation, she will join the Miami Dolphins’ Sales Development Program.

Q: Tell us about yourself.

Bierman: “My name is Brooke Bierman, and I’m a first-generation college student graduating this spring with my Master of Science in Management from the University of Florida. I previously earned my bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Spanish, graduated with honors, and joined UF’s combined degree track during my junior spring. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve had the opportunity to intern in the House of Representatives as a constituent services intern and study abroad in Sevilla, Spain. I’ve also been actively involved in a wide range of campus organizations including Alpha Kappa Psi, the UF Sales Team, the Student Investment Fund, the University Athletic Association, and Kappa Delta, and served as a research assistant supporting real estate market analysis. In my free time, I enjoy long-distance running, teaching myself new skills like playing the guitar, and spending quality time with the people I care about.”

Q: What was your undergraduate major, and why the MSM Program?

Bierman: “I chose the MSM program because of its Pre-MBA track and the incredible flexibility to take electives across various disciplines. I enrolled in several graduate-level Finance and Real Estate courses, which helped me broaden my skill set and explore new interests. Without this flexibility, I wouldn’t have had the chance to gain such a well-rounded perspective. I also plan to apply to UF’s MBA program in the future, and the MSM program has prepared me well for that next step.”

Q: What is the best thing you like about the MSM program?

Bierman: “What I love most about the MSM program is the ability to personalize your academic journey. Even with my background in economics, there were foundational business topics I hadn’t yet covered. The MSM program filled in those gaps and gave me the confidence to take on more specialized graduate-level Finance and Real Estate electives.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation? How did the MSM program help you?

Bierman: “After graduation, in the summer, I will work for the Miami Dolphins in their Sales Development Program. The MSM program provided fantastic resources through the Career Connections Center and HireWarrington, which regularly shared job opportunities and connected me to an incredible alumni network. The Gator Nation is real – thanks to that network, I was able to get my foot in the door! I’m especially grateful for the support I received from GCAP mentors, who helped me prepare with mock interviews and professional guidance.”

Q: What is your advice to other students looking at the MSM program?

Bierman: “My biggest piece of advice is to get involved and attend every event you can! The Hough community is truly special, and the MSM program allows you to customize your path in a way that aligns with your personal and professional interests. Taking full advantage of resources like HireWarrington and GCAP made all the difference for me.”

Q: Is there anything else you may want to add?

Bierman: “UF’s school spirit is unmatched. I feel so lucky to be graduating the same year we won the National Championship – it’s been such a memorable experience. From football to gymnastics, we really are an “everything school.” Attending games and cheering on the Gators are some of my favorite college memories, so if you come to UF, go to as many sporting events as you can!”

Q: One cool fact about you.

Bierman: “After graduation, I’ll be celebrating with a backpacking trip through Europe followed by travels to Thailand, Australia, and Bali. I can’t wait to explore more of the world before beginning this exciting next chapter. Go Gators!”
