Warrington’s bold statewide splash

Elevating Florida's business landscape, one city at a time

The land-grant designation has always been an important part of the University of Florida’s story, and the Warrington College of Business is leveraging that title to expand its reach throughout the state of Florida.

While strong business programs have already benefitted its more than 90,000 alumni around the world, Warrington is taking its programs directly to cities around the state to strengthen careers, create jobs and impact communities.

It started in South Florida. The MBA program opened its Weekend Part-Time in South Florida program in 2004 and has played an integral role in business education in the most densely populated area of the state. Warrington found the need for the program, and it brought the same immersive education offered in Gainesville to businessmen and businesswomen living in South Florida, saving them the time and resources that normal trips to Gainesville would require.

But South Florida is just the beginning. Warrington is currently building plans to be an important part of the university’s Jacksonville campus. Another densely populated area with many business professionals, Warrington will take its Weekend Part-Time program to the new Jacksonville campus starting in 2026, and other business programs are expected to be there as well.

Warrington’s vision is to reach other areas and continue making a strong impact wherever business can add value to the population. These continued strategic innovations by Warrington take some of the best business programs in the country and offer them to professionals around the state in their own backyard.
