Fisher’s Beta Alpha Psi named a superior chapter

The Fisher School of Accounting’s Upsilon Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi received recognition as a superior chapter for its outstanding efforts during the 2016-17 academic year.

Last year, the Fisher School’s chapter received the Most Improved Chapter award at the Beta Alpha Psi annual meeting. They continue their exemplary success with a second straight superior chapter honor, which comes with a $500 award.

“Recognition as a Superior Chapter is a significant accomplishment,” said Beta Alpha Psi President Dr. Sandra B. Richtermeyer, CPA, CMA. “Under the leadership of Professor (Sonia) Singh, the Upsilon Chapter has far exceeded the baseline requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism, and leadership. As Faculty Advisor for the chapter, Professor Singh has provided an invaluable service to your academic institution.”

The Upsilon Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary fraternity for accounting, financial and information systems students. It was founded in 1938.
