Q: Tell us about yourself.

Tran: “My name is Tran, from Vietnam. I will be graduating from the MIB program on December 18th.  I enjoy working with people and growing my leadership competencies.”

Q: Why did you join the MIB program?

Tran: “The UF MIB focuses on global economy that helps improve my insights, knowledge, and strategic thinking.”

Q: What is your favorite part of the MIB Program?

Tran: “Case-study projects. While I had had no strong background about U.S. business practices, it was so exciting leading a team to win in competitive group-assignments and get the highest score.”

Q: Can you tell us about the Certificate of Outstanding Merit that you have won?

Tran: “The Certificate of Outstanding Merit is an annual award that recognizes international students who do not only represent the highest academic level and professional excellence, but also bring positive impact to local community and the broader campus. I got four nomination letters from UF professors and became the only student from Vietnam who received a certificate this year. I am very proud of it!”

Q: Tell us 3 cool things about yourself.

Tran: “I can perform a song publicly, I can style hair (cut, dye or reshape), and I have visited 14 U.S. states since 2015.”
