Rodrigo Tremura

Q: Tell us about your background.

Tremura: “My name is Rodrigo Tremura, and my undergraduate major is a bachelor’s in music in combination with an outside field. My outside field is a master’s in management, which I am beginning this semester. I attend the University of Florida and grew up here in Gainesville. However, I was born in Brazil and that is where all my family is from.”

Q: Why did you join the MSM program?

Tremura: “I joined the management program because of my ambition to become an entrepreneur one day. I would like to start a successful company but want to hone my business skills with the MSM program. It is also a great addition to my studies so I may complete my bachelor’s in music for piano.”

Q: What do you enjoy the most in the MSM program?

Tremura: “I enjoy the flexibility of the program the most! I am able to study on my own time and get quick responses from all my professors. Also, they are very clear about the material and how to prepare.”

Q: What is your advice to current UF undergraduate students who are thinking of joining the MSM program?

Tremura: “To anyone that is interested in joining the MSM program I recommend they look into it because it is a great opportunity. The classes are taught unlike the traditional semester-long classes, which is very beneficial. If you are someone that is dedicated and wants to learn a lot of things quickly, the MSM classes are just right for that.”

Rodrigo Tremura Q: What internships and other activities did you participate in as an undergraduate student?

Tremura: “Some of my extracurricular activities throughout my undergraduate include rigorous Spanish study, as it is a language I enjoy learning. Also, I participated in a chamber ensemble for the spring of 2020, performing a very difficult piano trio with other great musicians. I also teach piano privately to a few students in Gainesville, which I really enjoy and keeps me busy.”

Q: What plans do you have after you graduate?

Tremura: “After graduation, I plan on eventually applying to a law school or seeing where the MSM degree can take me. Either way, I would like to continue teaching piano privately as it is something I enjoy very much. Whichever opportunities come along the way may change my plans for the future, which is exciting.”

Q: Where do you see yourself 5 years from today?

Tremura: “About 5 years from today, I see myself living in a city and working with something I really enjoy. Hopefully, I will be saving up to buy a house one day and perhaps have a nicer car. Alternatively, I could be still in school for law or running a new business.”

Q: Tell us 3 cool things about you.

Tremura: “A few fun facts about me are that I love watching and playing all kinds of sports. Also, I am a morning person and enjoy waking up very early to work out or do something fun. Finally, I enjoy cooking and making healthy and delicious meals.”
