Q: Tell us about yourself.

Marshall: “My name is Drew Marshall, and I am from Fort Myers, Florida. I was a marketing major during my time as an undergrad and served as Director of Public Relations for American Marketing Association and T-Shirt Chairman for Beta Theta Pi.”

Q: Why did you join the MS Marketing program?

Marshall: “My experience with the marketing professors and the rest of Warrington during undergrad was a big part of why I decided to continue with marketing for my graduate studies. I also considered how it would appeal to recruiters as I began my career search in an especially competitive job market.”

Q: What did you enjoy most in the MS Marketing program?

Marshall: “During my time in the MS Marketing program, I launched my own fashion and design brand—Unreal Customs & Vintage. It began as a passion project but became a great opportunity to apply the concepts I had been learning in my graduate courses in real-time to an actual revenue stream. For several group projects where we had to pick a business to research, my group ended up picking my brand, which I found a lot of value in. The collaboration and insights from my peers were definitely my favorite aspects of the MS Marketing program.”

Q: What advice do you have for undergraduate students who are thinking of doing the MS Marketing program?

Marshall: “Whatever you put into it is what you’re going to get out of it. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way and always give it your all—the rest will follow.”

Marshall: “I did a few different sales and/or marketing internships with Rockstar Energy, GlobalNet Connect, and Amavida Living to gauge what I really wanted to pursue as a full-time career.”

Q: What are you doing after graduation?

Marshall: “I’ll be starting 2022 working as an Account Manager with Gartner on their Global Technology Sales team in Fort Myers, Florida. I am beyond excited to be working for the world’s leading research and advisory company, and I am thankful for the MS Marketing program’s help in getting me to this point.”

Q: Tell us 3 cool things about you.

Marshall: “I’ve been playing soccer since I was 3, lived in 5 different cities, and got to Top Golf at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.”
