Taking the next step
Dr. Jennifer Cainas had been teaching at the University of South Florida (USF) for nine years, but she wanted to keep growing in her career. Enrolling in the University of Florida Warrington College of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program helped make that happen.
“I was extremely impressed with the high-quality faculty teaching in the program,” Cainas said. “They were committed to teaching us about academic research while still appreciating our different interests.”
It was important to Cainas that her job at USF wouldn’t be impacted. The UF DBA program allowed her to continue working full time, even though the academic program required at least 20–30 hours per week outside of her job. The classes were challenging but well worth it.
It didn’t take long after graduation for Cainas to see the results. To go along with her increased research knowledge, she also received a promotion and salary increase at USF. Graduating from the UF DBA program also opened doors for Cainas to teach in the master’s and doctoral programs at USF. She will also teach a class in the USF DBA program.
“I will always be grateful for my time in the DBA program at University of Florida,” Cainas said. “It has helped me both professionally and personally.”
