Warrington alumna named to first Emergent 25 List by Forbes Asia
Jane Sun (BSAc ’92) was named to the inaugural Emergent 25 List of Asia’s latest star businesswomen by Forbes Asia. She is featured on the May 2018 cover of Forbes Asia announcing the Emergent 25.
The list features women making their mark in regional enterprises across Asia and reflects the broader impact of women in the Asia-Pacific business world. Those named to the list were chosen for the money they generate, the influence they wield, and the ideas and trends they are advancing.
Sun is the CEO of Ctrip, China’s largest online travel agency with 300 million members and a $24 billion market capitalization. Under her leadership, Ctrip had a 39 percent rise in revenue last year with hefty growth in international bookings and is continuing to expand. Sun has also led Ctrip to increased railway ticketing, which covers more than 30 countries in Asia and Europe and launched its car-rental services in 6,000 international cities in March. She joined Ctrip in 2005 as the chief financial officer before becoming CEO in 2016.
