International associate director again honored for excellence
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jason Ward, Associate Director of International Programs at the Heavener School of Business, is a recipient of the University of Florida’s Superior Accomplishment Division 3 Award.
Division 3 encompasses all schools, colleges, departments and units under the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Division award recipients are eligible for the university-level Superior Accomplishment Awards, which will be held on April 14.
The Superior Accomplishment Awards recognize “staff members who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or to the quality of life provided to students and employees.” Nominations are based upon outstanding contributions to the university during the past academic year.
Ward has received multiple honors in 2015-16 for his efforts. He was named UF’s 2015 Staff International Educator of the Year, which recognized his outstanding contributions to the internationalization of UF, notably directing the Heavener School’s international exchange partnerships with more than 30 universities around the world. He also earned the Warrington College of Business’s 2015-16 Undergraduate Advising Award.
In addition to his work with the Heavener School’s exchange programs, Ward serves as the faculty advisor for the Global Business Society, which organizes over 20 internationally-themed events each year; and the Global Gator Guides, who welcome and integrate international exchange students on campus through a variety of service and community events.
