UF MBA wins ACG Case Competition

UF MBA wins ACG Cup

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A team of four University of Florida MBA students won the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Cup on March 30. The event was hosted by AGC’s Tampa Bay chapter.

The UF MBA team consisted of Wes Caplan, Ryan O’Farrell, Jordan Schulz and Jonathan Siragusa.

This is the fourth UF MBA team to win a first-place trophy in the four case competitions the program has attended this semester. UF was joined at the event by Rollins College, University of South Florida and University of Tampa.

The Tampa Bay ACG Cup is designed to give students real-world experience and invaluable insights into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory, and private equity. Each case study provided students with a unique opportunity to present valuation, capital markets and M&A strategic advice to a panel of seasoned M&A professionals from within the ACG community.

ACG Tampa Bay began the program in 2010 and has given more than $60,000 in prize money as well as numerous volunteer hours from ACG members for school visits, networking, judging and committee service.
