Expanding online business education

The Heavener School of Business has long been a leader in online education at UF. The Online BSBA continues to be one of the most popular majors at UF Online, the university’s online education division, with 29% of UF Online students enrolled in the program.

With the launch of the Online BABA in Spring 2017, students now have the opportunity to pursue the degree on their own schedule and tailor it to their individual goals and interests. The dynamic Online BABA degree’s interdisciplinary nature allows students to establish a robust business foundation and develop their skills in specialized area.

Areas of specialization for the Online BABA include Anthropology, Business and Economic Geography, Educational Studies, General Business, Geology, Mass Communication, Sociology and Sport Management.

The Online BABA’s combination of a strong business core and specialty area focus is designed to prepare students to begin their careers as soon as they complete their degree. A required internship further prepares students to be career-ready and gives them real-world career experience.

Aligning with its traditional on-campus degree programs, the Heavener School is planning to offer career and leadership development opportunities for its online students. The School is currently working to develop career and leadership modules in Canvas, UF’s course management system, to bring the holistic and dynamic Heavener experience to its students who are not located on campus.
