MSF program ranked among best in the world by QS
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The William R. Hough Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program remained in the top 10 on QS’ 2022 Master’s in Finance Rankings.
The MSF program was named No. 6 among the 63 ranked U.S. programs and No. 4 among public schools in the U.S., following the University of California – Berkeley, the University of California – Los Angeles and the University of Texas – Austin.
Among global master’s degree programs in finance, the UF MSF program was named the No. 30 program, besting finance master’s degree programs at Georgia Tech, Boston University and the University of Miami.
“The MSF program continues to be recognized as one of the best programs in the country because of our outstanding alumni, students and faculty,” said Kelly Herring, Director of the William R. Hough Master of Science in Finance program. “We celebrate strong outcomes as 100% of placement-seeking seniors accepted full-time analyst positions before graduation, and 100% of MSF Class of 2022 students were accepted into summer internships. We are honored that our success continues to be noticed by QS.”
QS determines its Global Business Master’s Degree Rankings from five key data points: employability (30 percent), alumni outcomes (20 percent), value for money (20 percent), thought leadership (20 percent), and class and faculty diversity (10 percent). The MSF program ranked in the top 10 in the following categories among U.S. programs:
- Alumni outcomes – No. 4 among publics with 90.4 points
- Thought leadership – No. 5 among publics with 59.6 points
- Value for money – No. 5 among publics with 89.3 points
- Employability – No. 6 among publics with 47.8 points
The Master of Science in Finance program was also named among the best programs by U.S. News & World Report, which ranked it the No. 9 program among publics.
