UF MBA: The nation’s No. 4 online MBA program again

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – For the eighth consecutive year, UF MBA at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business was named among the top 5 public universities on U.S. News & World Report’s “2020 Best Online MBA Programs” list. With a score of 95 out of 100, it is the No. 4 best online MBA program in the nation and No. 3 best online MBA program among public universities in the United States.

“At UF MBA, we’re proud of the fact that we’ve offered a quality online education for more than 20 years,” said John Gresley, Assistant Dean and Director of UF MBA. “Being named among the top 5 programs in the nation since the inaugural U.S. News Online MBA ranking, which represents nearly half of UF MBA Online’s existence, sets a high bar and drives us to continue providing a modern, flexible and preeminent online business education to our students. Our sustained success wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated efforts of our world-class faculty and staff in admissions, student affairs, instructional design and IT support.”

To create its annual Best Online MBA Programs rankings, U.S. News sent surveys to the 335 schools that offer online MBAs. The rankings were based on five weighted categories: Engagement (30 percent), Student Excellence (15 percent), Expert Opinion (25 percent), Faculty Credentials and Training (15 percent), and Student Services and Technology (15 percent).

UF MBA’s scores in the weighted categories placed it among the best programs, as well as the top 10 of the individual weighted categories:

  • Engagement score – 90 (out of 100); ranked No. 10 overall
  • Student Excellence score – 94 (out of 100); ranked No. 6 overall
  • Expert Opinion score – 3.8 (on a scale of 1-5); ranked No. 5 overall

In the Student Excellence category, which measures GMAT and GRE scores, work experience, undergraduate GPA and the school’s overall acceptance rate, UF MBA was ranked in the top 10 overall for a fifth year in a row.

As a pioneering program with 20 years of providing online education, UF MBA has long been recognized as one of the best online programs in the world. The Financial Times ranked UF MBA the No. 4 program among U.S. publics and the No. 6 program overall in its “Top Online MBA Programs 2019.” It also ranked UF MBA the No. 1 program in the world for online interaction and No. 2 in the world for program delivery in 2019. QS named UF MBA’s online program No. 3 in the United States and No. 2 among publics.
