UF offers No. 1 MBA online program for veterans, according to US News
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Veterans seeking to supplement their military careers with a graduate business education can find the best-ranked, affordable, and accessible option at the University of Florida, according to U.S. News & World Report. As ranked on its “2023 Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans,” UF MBA is the No. 1 program in the nation for the second consecutive year.
“UF MBA has proudly worked over our 20-plus years in the online space with veterans and current servicemen and servicewomen to help them advance their careers through our program,” said John Gresley, Assistant Dean and Director of UF MBA. “It is an honor to be able to offer these brave men and women an affordable and accessible education they can use to further develop their leadership and scholarship.”
UF MBA’s top ranking complements its host of other benefits for current or former military members. In addition to the ability to apply the Post-9/11 GI Bill® to any of UF MBA’s programs and the program’s commitment to accommodating servicemen and servicewomen with their military obligations through locked fees and enrollment positions, frequent program start options, set program lengths and flexible schedules, UF is a designated Yellow Ribbon school and has a dedicated Office of Veterans Services.
“The UF MBA program is hands down the best academic experience I have ever participated in,” said Navy veteran Levi Hensiek (MBA ’19). “The format of the classes and the weekend meetings provided the same learning outcomes and networking opportunities as a traditional MBA program. Because I was an active-duty U.S. Navy Submariner, the flexibility of the program was paramount.”
He added, “Since completing my MBA I have moved into a senior engineering management role at a leading defense contracting firm where I am able to apply the skills obtained in the program. I highly recommend the UF MBA Online program! Go Gators!”
To create its annual “Best Online MBA Programs” rankings, U.S. News sent surveys to the 366 schools that offer online MBAs. The rankings are based on five weighted categories: Engagement (30%) Peer Assessment (25%), Student Excellence (15%), Faculty Credentials and Training (15%), and Services and Technology (15%).
Overall, UF MBA was ranked the No. 4 program by U.S. News & World Report. With U.S. News’ 2023 ranking of Online MBA programs, UF MBA takes its eleventh consecutive year of being named among the top 5 public universities.
In addition to its overall ranking from U.S. News & World Report, UF MBA ranked among the top programs in all four specialty subject rankings. In each of these rankings, UF MBA was the top program in the state of Florida.
- Business Analytics – No. 4 in the nation
- General Management – No. 4 in the nation
- Finance – No. 5 in the nation
- Marketing – No. 7 in the nation
Beyond the UF MBA program, the University of Florida’s strength in the online space extends to its bachelor’s degree programs. UF Online ranked No. 1 overall in three categories including bachelor’s degree programs, bachelor’s degree programs for veterans and business bachelor’s degrees.
As highlighted by these rankings, and in parallel to its rise to the top 5 of on-campus programs, the University of Florida and the UF Warrington College of Business provide top-ranked, accessible and affordable educational excellence across all platforms. It is the highest-ranked university in Florida and is increasingly preeminent nationally.
