What do you hope to get out of your UF MBA experience?

  • “I am a physician by training, but as chair of a complex department, a significant portion of my job is administration. I decided to get an MBA so that I could get a better understanding of business and management principles. Many of the MBA courses that I will be doing are directly related to the business of medicine, such as accounting, brand management, operations, business decisions, and even organizational staffing. My goal is to supplement my medical and surgical skills with business acumen to help make my department and larger organization successful. I also enjoy networking with and learning from my fellow MBA candidates, who come from diverse backgrounds and industries.” – Sonal Tuli
  • “My primary goal for pursuing an MBA was to challenge myself and grow personally. I advocate for life-long learning to my Soldiers and my children, so I wanted to set an example for them to follow. An MBA program also provides opportunities to develop a wide range of skills, such as leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. The added bonus of building a strong professional network through UF’s program with fellow students, alumni, and industry professionals will be invaluable after finishing the program.” – James Scott
  • My goal is to continue to grow within my company and become an executive director in the next 4 years. – Cindy Duarte

Why did you choose the University of Florida?

  • “Gator Nation! I’m a believer in the power of the UF network. As I talked to other people with MBAs from here and other schools, I realized that the education is only part of the value of the degree; the opportunities that come from the association with UF is the real value of the degree.” – Ray Cornwall
  • “Other than my Gator Alumni pride and bleeding orange and blue, I am currently living in Orlando and for me an in-person MBA is a priority. The UF MBA program is also considered one of the top programs in the country, with exceptional rankings, alumni success, faculty excellence, and strong return on investment. With all of these factors in mind, there is no doubt that the UF Executive MBA program would be the best fit for me and my #1 choice.” – Tatiana Perez

What advice do you have for others on the admissions process?

  • “Be authentic throughout your application process. Do not be afraid to contact the admissions team with any questions.” – Cindy Duarte
  • “It is not as scary as it seems. The MBA team is there to help you every step of the way! The admissions part is the easy part, and returning to school was not as hard as I thought it would be. Your teachers and cohort will be there to help and you will get the hang of it.UF wants to see you succeed and they provide you with all of the tools to achieve it.” – Tatiana Perez
