UF MBA wins Florida Intercollegiate Case Competition

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four students from UF MBA at the Hough Graduate School of Business won the Florida Intercollegiate Case Competition at the University of South Florida from February 24-25.

This is the sixth straight year UF MBA has won the competition. The UF MBA team consisted of Christina Dupre, Gabriel Gomes, Jesse Moon and Randy Perez.

“This win was especially important to us as a team, as we wanted to continue the UF MBA FICC dynasty with a six-peat and bring back the trophy for another year,” Dupre said. “It was a great opportunity to use skills we have learned in the classroom and apply them to a real-life business problem.”

The event featured MBA programs from six instate universities. Florida International University, Florida State University, University of Miami, Rollins College and University of South Florida all joined UF at the event. The competitions also serve as networking opportunities for students from each university.

The win was another important victory for UF to start competition season. Three distinct UF MBA teams have won first place in three different competitions already this spring, and two of them have come in national competitions.

The Florida Intercollegiate Case Competition has been in existence since 2002.
