UPDATE: Warrington to host 30th annual Retail Smarter Conference

UPDATE – In response to public health concerns, Retail Smarter 2020 has been cancelled. We are committed to doing our part to help protect our attendees and the UF community. We hope to see you next year!

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 30th annual Retail Smarter Conference will take place on March 25-26 at the J. Wayne Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus. The conference is hosted by the Warrington College of Business David F. Miller Retail Center.

The conference brings together a diverse group of retail and industry experts. Long viewed as one of the most impactful events in retail, the schedule is packed with engaging C-suite speakers and networking opportunities. Speakers will openly address how their company is flourishing in the changing retail landscape and ensuring that the company continues to thrive. They’ll candidly share information and new ideas that are working on to keep their organizations ahead of their competition.

Retail Smarter also includes a student recruiting element for companies interested in hiring UF Warrington retail students. Through a mixer and other opportunities, employers can connect with students throughout both days of the conference.

“We are excited to host Retail Smarter again on the UF campus this year,” said Betsy Goodman, Executive Director of the Miller Retail Center. “These two days are always impactful for attendees to learn about the latest in the retail industry and also network with peers. We are excited to welcome this year’s attendees.”

At this year’s event, attendees will get to hear from leaders at The NPD Group, Nepa USA, Deloitte, Enhanced Retail Solutions and many more. Learn more about this year’s conference here.

“Over the past 20 years, I have attended Retail Smarter nearly every year,” Bealls CEO Steve Knopik said. “I block out dates on my calendar each year because it’s such a fantastic opportunity to meet and interact with other retailers, outstanding students with career aspirations and experts in things I’m interested in.”
