The IPO window could reopen after 2 brutal years amid Trump trade ‘exuberance’
Investors have been waiting for the US IPO market to thaw after two challenging years. Donald Trump’s election win may help do just that.
Since Trump’s victory last week, the stocks of investment banking leaders including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Jefferies have all rallied by 10% or more.
“I certainly expect that there will be increased IPO activity in the US during the next year, barring a big stock market drop,” University of Florida Warrington College of Business Cordell Eminent Scholar Jay Ritter, who studies IPOs.
