My best memories from the Warrington College of Business

Homecoming is a time to celebrate the best of what the University of Florida has to offer, and what better way to highlight what makes our university great than with some of your best business school memories? We asked our alumni to tell us on social media about their best memories from Warrington. Check out some of the responses we got below about what made the college experience of these eight alumni a time they will never forget.

MichelleScaglione Michelle Scaglione – BA ’09, MBA ’18

“My best business school memory & why? Representing UF in Copenhagen for an international case competition. It was my first time traveling outside of the U.S. and the start to my love of travel and learning international business cultures.”

“Crisp, cool Friday afternoons in Dr. Denslow’s class in Bryan Hall, with the windows open…looking forward to the weekend and watching the Gators ‘Swamp’ their next opponent.”

“It would be difficult for me to choose a singular favorite memory during my time as a grad student at Hough, because all of it made my experience. By all of it, I mean the laughs, the crazy expectations that I was held to by my professors and my peers, the late nights in a study room trying to make sense of #wherefunfloats, and the intense camaraderie we had as an MSM community. I love you and cherish you. As I transition into another stage in my career and as I prepare to go back to grad school full time in 2 years, I look back at this and [am] forever grateful to this institution for giving me the best people and the best professional and academic foundation. So favorite memory is hands [down] the 2014-2015 school year as an MSM candidate at Warrington in Hough Hall.”

“This day represented the culmination of my accomplishment, and I was so excited to spend it with family and new friends. My Granny wasn’t able to be at graduation with me, but I wanted her to be able to share in my accomplishment in spirit.”

Danielle Shu Danielle Shu – BA ’17

“My best memory would be within the MANY I’ve had during my time as a peer leader in Warrington Welcome. I was able to work with so many students and the experiences I’ve had is what led me to higher education. Plus – it was SO FUN to incorporate Harry Potter into team-building lessons.”

ThomasDePatie Thomas DePatie – MSM ’18

“My research in organizational behavior, course on professional communication, and the Chomp & Go are my most fond business school memories. I wouldn’t have made [it] to my Ph.D. without peer-reviewed articles on workplace incivility, concise deck building and presentation prep, and a handful of Robert Irvine Fit Crunch bars.”

KristenNguyen Kristen Nguyen – BSBA ’18

“My best and absolute favorite memory of being in the Warrington College of Business was from the very day my team took first place in the first ever P&G Emerging Leaders Competition with Dr. Alex Sevilla. It was this day that I realized how much it meant to me to be a leader, and it showed me that no matter where I ended up, I wanted to make an impact. We were the trail blazers for a class competition like this one, and I know we each made our own impact. Even after graduation we will always be #BusinessGators.”

EleanorAntonacci Eleanor Antonacci – MBA ’17

“My best business school memory – the #UFMBA orientation celebration, when I realized that I finally became a Gator.”
