UF Warrington introduces two new degree options for business and non-business majors
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida is bolstering its lineup of specialized master’s degree program options to include one new degree program and one new program option. Starting in the fall of 2020, students majoring in business can pursue a MS Marketing and students with or without a business background can pursue a Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management with a specialization in Business Analytics.
The MS Marketing is a brand-new degree program offered to students who are currently pursuing a business major or minor or have already completed a business degree in their undergraduate education. The one-year program is intended for students whose objective is to work in the field of marketing in a corporate, NGO or entrepreneurial setting.
The Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management (MS-ISOM) is introducing a new specialization for students, adding Business Analytics to its current specialization options of Supply Chain Management, Information Technology and the newly-renamed Data Science. The one-year program trains students how to become a crucial translator of business functional needs into analytics processes and analyses. This specialization focuses on combining business functional knowledge and related data with analytics skills to meet the growing needs of analytics teams supporting businesses. The program is available to students with or without a business background.
These two new program options add to Warrington’s solid offering of specialized master’s degrees, which allow students to become experts in the field they’re most passionate about and stand out in the job search. The MS Marketing will be the seventh degree option, in addition to the Thomas S. Johnson Master of Science in Entrepreneurship, William R. Hough Master of Science in Finance, Nathan S. Collier Master of Science in Real Estate, Master of International Business, Master of Science in Management and Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management. The Business Analytics specialization will be the Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management’s fourth specialization option for students.
