University of Florida leads rankings of best online MBA and business master’s degrees for veterans, according to US News
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – An online business degree is an excellent option for veterans seeking to supplement or expand their military careers. At the University of Florida, veterans can earn a top-ranked, accessible and affordable graduate business degree, as noted by U.S. News & World Report, which recently ranked the Warrington College of Business’ Online MBA and online business master’s degrees among the best in the nation.
On its list of “2024 Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans”, the University of Florida Online MBA is No. 3 in the nation. Among the programs ranked as “Best Online Master’s in Business for Veterans”, which includes degrees that are not MBA programs and include examples like master’s degrees in accounting, finance, marketing and management, the University of Florida is No. 7 in the nation, making a remarkable 8-place advancement from last year’s ranking.
“Veterans and active-duty military have a unique experience as they perform their duties in service to their country,” said John Gresley, Associate Dean for Master’s Programs and Executive Director of UF MBA. “At UF Warrington, we recognize that unique experience and are proud to offer an accessible and affordable program that fits the needs of our servicemen and servicewomen as they seek to advance their careers, either in the military or as they transition to civilian life.”
UF Warrington’s ranking complements the university’s host of other benefits for current or former military members. In addition to the ability to apply the Post-9/11 GI Bill® to any of UF Warrington’s programs and the college’s commitment to accommodating servicemen and servicewomen with their military obligations through locked fees and enrollment positions, frequent program start options, set program lengths and flexible schedules, UF is a designated Yellow Ribbon school and has a dedicated Office of Veterans Services.
With strong rankings, exceptional benefits for veterans and a distinct reputation, current and former U.S. service members have consistently turned to the University of Florida for their MBA. In the UF MBA Online Class of 2025, almost all of the U.S. military branches are represented in the class.
“One of my mentors repetitively loves to state that branding matters when it comes to degrees, and UF has an excellent brand,” said U.S. Army First Sergeant Andrew Balha (MBA ’25).
To create its annual “Best Online MBA Programs” and “Best Online Master’s in Business” rankings, U.S. News sent surveys to the 356 schools that offer online MBAs and the 222 schools that offer non-MBA master’s degree programs in business. Both rankings are based on five weighted categories: Engagement (30%) Peer Assessment (25%), Student Excellence (15%), Faculty Credentials and Training (15%), and Services and Technology (15%).
Overall, UF MBA was ranked the No. 6 program in the nation (No. 4 among publics) by U.S. News & World Report. With U.S. News’ 2024 ranking of Online MBA programs, UF MBA takes its twelfth consecutive year of being named among the top 5 public universities.
In addition to its overall ranking from U.S. News & World Report, UF MBA ranked among the top 5 programs in all four specialty subject rankings. In each of these rankings, UF MBA was the top program in the state of Florida.
