Poets&Quants | The MBA programs that give VCs a measurable edge
In new research with Stanford Graduate School of Business professor Ilya Strebulaev, Blake Jackson, a Ph.D. candidate in finance at the University of Florida and visiting researcher at Stanford GSB, analyzed the educational backgrounds and investment performance of nearly 4,000 senior U.S. venture capitalists from 1996 to 2025. Their findings revealed that graduates from select MBA programs show clear advantages in VC investment performance.
